We use New Growth Coastal Redwood, a naturally beautiful, insect and decay resistant, construction-friendly lumber that reflects our commitment to the environment. No dangerous chemical preservatives are needed to pressure-treat the wood, and it's one of the fastest growing woods in North America, making it an easily renewable resource. Ambitious reforestation programs plant five new trees for every one harvested, and all on our suppliers' own land.
